Brand Story

Leavenir was born in Sabah, Borneo, also known as the ‘Land Below the Wind’. The atelier’s philosophy resting on the principles of quality, simplicity, and elegance.

Founded in Sabah, Borneo 2023

Leavenir is a fine leather crafting house that dedicated to pass on the discipline behind creativity, and to create fine yet functional leather goods for the rhythms of everyday throughout the brand’s consistent and innovative design style, fully handmade, handsewn craftmanship, which can endure although trend changes.

Our leather are acquired from the most exclusive sources with rich heritage, finest tanneries steeped in centuries old tradition from all around the world, to ensure the leather quality.

Our Name

Lea /leð/ - venir /vǝnˈɪǝr/

Lea, derived from the word ‘Leather’, the main material behind every product we made. Venir, acquired from the word of ‘Souvenir’, with a meaning ‘to remember’. Putting together, Leavenir indicates memories hold within versatility.

Our Craft

Every leathercraft artpiece is the result of time, travel, and trust. We gain experiences by attending workshops, leather fairs and learning from different leathercraft masters from different countries, whom have the dedication to detail and quality, and we bring this spirit to life.

Leavenir uses the traditional European saddle-stitching technique in all the products making process. This method of stitching requires a thread, woven through two needles, crisscrosses through punched holes.

Handsewing allows flexibility, resulting in stronger seams (durability) and precision. It does not only adding aesthetic to the leather’s appeal, it also shows the passion, patience and work attitude of leathercraftman.

Leavenir’s products are made with passion. Every stitch, cut, and polish is infused with dedication and expertise learned, which elevating craftsmanship into an art form.

Sustainability

Making our society better in terms of being sustainable has been part of our commitment. Although complete sustainable is impossible, we are dedicated constantly seeking new ways to minimise our environmental impact and conserve natural resources. Join us in extending the lifespan of your leather goods and making conscious choices to protect our environment.

LEATHER GOODS CARE SERVICE

We provide annual maintenance service to ensure your Leavenir artpieces longevity and aged beautifully.

MAKE-TO-ORDER BASIS

The atelier produces leather goods in limited quantities, not only for making every item unique, but also with the purpose to control over production waste.

FSC® PAPER, VEGETABLE INK PRINTING

Our packaging stationeries are FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. That means all paper materials are derived from responsible forest management, harvested and produced in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

Our sustainability conscious included printing process of our packaging stationeries. Compared to traditional petroleum-based ink, vegetable-based printing ink contributes to smaller environmental impacts, which is naturally low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), they’re renewable and can be grown and replenished indefinitely.

COTTON LINEN DRAWSTRING BAG

Every each dust bag is crafted and printed from eco-friendly materials. We chosen cotton linen blend fabric that can stands for different weather, also chosen for its natural strength, breathability, and environmental benefits.
